Advocacy has never been more critical. The National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) is gearing up for Virtual Capitol Hill Day on September 17, 2025, bringing together advocates from across the country to engage directly with members of Congress.
Participants will receive training and preparation materials ahead of time, ensuring every conversation with lawmakers is strategic, informed, and impactful. This is a unique chance to raise the voices of providers, people with lived experience, and community leaders in shaping the federal homelessness response.
If you or your organization want to influence the policies and funding decisions that affect your work, this event belongs on your calendar.

Street outreach is often the first point of contact between individuals experiencing homelessness and the broader response system. Done well, it’s not just about offering immediate resources — it’s about building pathways to permanent housing.
On August 27, 2025, the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) will host a webinar exploring strategies for housing-focused street outreach. The session will highlight best practices, case studies, and innovative approaches that help outreach teams move beyond temporary fixes toward long-term solutions.
This is a valuable opportunity for outreach workers, case managers, and system leaders to re-examine how engagement in the field connects directly to housing outcomes.

If you’ve ever tried to keep up with HUD, USICH, NAEH, NLIHC, and the rest of the acronym brigade, you know the experience borders on Olympic-level endurance. Every week brings a flood of announcements, deadlines, data standards, and “urgent” emails — many of which are critical, some of which are duplicates, and far too many of which are “Correction: please disregard our last message.”
This space was built to cut through that chaos. Instead of forcing you to track 10 different websites, decode 100 acronyms, and search your inbox for that one PDF you swear was important, we’ve created a streamlined hub. Here, you’ll find news organized into categories that actually make sense:
Announcements & Deadlines that keep your calendar intact
Funding & Grants so you don’t miss opportunities
Policy & Legislation updates with real-world implications
Research & Data translated into usable insights
Training & Best Practices that go beyond theory
Local Spotlights to show what’s working in communities like yours
And here’s the kicker: we pull together federal announcements, national advocacy updates, state-level guidance, new research briefs, training invites, toolkits, and even webinar recaps — so you don’t have to.
In short: timely information, minus the acronym fatigue.
Information is necessary, but training is transformative. That’s why we’re building a subscription-based Learning Management System (LMS) designed specifically for homelessness professionals.
This isn’t training for training’s sake. It’s practical, role-specific learning that helps frontline staff, case managers, and agency leaders actually do their jobs better. Expect interactive tools, certification pathways, and content designed to be as engaging as it is useful.
At present, the LMS is in pilot mode across Florida and Alabama. But in the coming months, subscriptions will open nationally as we expand our library of field-tested, high-value content.
The homelessness response system is complex, and staying up-to-date often means juggling websites, endless email blasts, and PDFs buried in inboxes. This hub changes that equation.
Our aim is simple: a single, trusted source for news, resources, and training — so you can stop chasing updates and get back to the work that matters most.
